A Celebration of Jamaican Ganja, the people it has inspired and the legacy it has cultivated
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with the Founder of the GotGanja movement, Douglas Gordon, over WhatsApp, given I reside in Canada and Douglas in Jamaica, and his energy and passion to share his message around the world could be felt from over twenty-eight hundred kilometers away.
"We are determined to ensure that the rich legacy that Jamaica has given the world with respect to cannabis/ganja serves to benefit the country in meaningful and measurable outcomes, across all spectrums of life." Douglas explained,

The mission and purpose of GotGanja, is to delve into the dynamic impact of Jamaica's global brand, and its impact on the understanding and adoption of cannabis/ganja, and in doing so forge a path towards a brighter for all of Jamaica, and a more informed future for all through awareness and education.
As Douglas explains, one of his primary desires was to “create and design a communication vehicle that effectively captures and showcases the enlightenment, spiritual, creative, empowered, heightened feeling that comes from responsible Ganja use.”
Douglas firmly believes, “Embrace the power of a plant, embrace the power of a nation – together, we ignite change,” and the team at Reggae Park 420 Escape and ReggaePark420Mag.com couldn’t agree more and are honored to share his message.
Through education, raising awareness, instilling pride and destigmatizing the use of cannabis, Douglas says, “this campaign will change the misguided and inaccurate perceptions of cannabis.”
